Mercy Medical Center is the recipient of the 2010/2011 Bariatric Surgery Excellence Award^TM from HealthGrades^®, and also a Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence designed by the American Society For Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.

Mercy was ranked by HealthGrades as the highest of any New York weight-loss surgery program in Long Island, New York City and Westchester County and third in all of New York State, the fifth year in a row that it has been one of the top three hospitals statewide as well as in the top five percent nationally for weight-loss surgery outcomes.
