Lead Mechanic

Vito began his career at Mercy Medical Center in 2004 as a Level 2 maintenance mechanic and with hard work and diligence he advanced to the position of Lead Mechanic/Foreman by 2011.

Here are some of the comments from his Gold Star nomination:

"Vito is always upbeat about his job. He is warm, outgoing and friendly and the manner in which he conducts himself with co-workers and patients is always positive..."

"Out of all the qualities Vito brings to his job and to Mercy Medical Center, is his concern for our patients and visitors. This is where all of the countless unseen and unnoticed things Vito does really shine. The engineering department receives many work requests, and Vito is always giving 100 percent. When a patient request comes in or something is not right in a patient room he steps it up even more. If Vito can do something to help a patient or visitor you can't stop him."
