Friends of Mercy Medical Center St. Patrick’s Dinner Set For March 11th |

Annual Black-Tie Fund-Raiser Will Honor State Senator Dean Skelos of Rockville Centre to Speak
The guest speaker will be State Senator Dean Skelos of Rockville Centre who has represented the 9th District covering southwestern Nassau County since 1984 and serves as Republican Leader. Co-Chairing this year's event are Garden City residents Jeffrey Mulhall, president of the specialty educational and healthcare furniture company J.S. McHugh, Inc., and former New York Jets linebacker Chad Cascadden. The St. Patrick's Dinner traditionally includes the presentation of the proceeds of The Friends of Mercy was founded in 1935 as an organization of men dedicated to volunteering their time and efforts to raise funds for the advancement of medical and surgical care for the patients of Mercy Medical Center as well as construction at Mercy. The Friends raise funds by sponsoring the St. Patrick's Dinner, a Golf Outing to be held this year on July 26th and The Mercy Ball (www.MercyBall.com) held each year on the first Saturday in December. The Gentlemen's Dinner is one of the group's most convivial events, and a significant fund-raiser for the Medical Center. In recognition of the challenging economic environment, ticket prices have been held to a reduced rate of $225 per person. (February 1, 2010 - Rockville Centre, NY) The Friends of Mercy Medical Center will hold their 44th Annual Gentlemen's St. Patrick's Dinner on Thursday, March 11th at the Hempstead Golf and Country Club. The honoree at the black-tie event will be Daniel Murphy, MD of Garden City, the hospital's Director of Emergency Medicine and Senior Director of Patient Care Operations.
